After gaining 4.5 lbs. in the past two weeks, I’ve decided to stop the insanity before all of my hard work of last year completely unravels … this super large pan of homemade shrimp arrabiata has been my dinner for the past two days (and will also be my lunch tomorrow). It was my first time making it, but I have to say, I really enjoyed it … I think it could have used more sauce or less pasta, though. And I don’t know if it can technically be called “arrabiata” without the red pepper flakes, but I spiced it up with a bit of black pepper and cayenne pepper. I know nothing about cooking, but it tasted great to me!
So I have neglected this blog for the last several months, because a crapload of life has been happening. I’m still fat and 30, but no longer single …
After a rollercoaster ride over the last four months, Matt and I are now officially bf/gf, and in love 🙂 🙂 🙂
But boy, was it ever a bumpy ride … we’ve had epic fights already, both of us not knowing what we want, etc. But now for the past month things have calmed down and become normal, so to speak.
Oh, and did I mention it’s not long distance? Because I got offered a new job in my hometown and quit my job up North, which might have been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my life. There was much indecision and many tears shed, but I think I made a good choice. I miss my students and some of my co-workers, but I love my new job too and it is way less stressful. Plus I get to be home. And only 90 mins. away from Matt, as opposed to half a country away.
I’ve also been doing a course online that has taken up a lot of my time, but now I’m almost finished (well, my major assignments are all finished), so I plan to become more involved in my blog and update it more than once every three months.
And since it’s November 11th, I can’t really write a blog entry without saying that I am so grateful today for our veterans and those who are still protecting us and our freedoms. Lest we forget!
